Each year there are plenty of festivals that each town likes to celebrate but there are some main ones celebrated in the
Cuadrillas de Barranda Festival, the festivals begin with this event on the last Sunday of January with carnivals taking place in February. Dancing troupes and costume parades taking place in some of the communities.
Semana Santa (Holy Week) is the Spanish Easter time that lasts for two weeks. It celebrates the Murcia Spring Festivals and Bando de la Huerta Day where thousands of Murcians wear traditional attire and parade through the streets.
